• Smart Heat® Power Tip™ for MetCal Stations: For your existing Metcal MX-500 Systems, Ok has developed a new range of STTC SmartHeat® PowerTipsTM that deliver heat more efficiently for the most common lead-free soldering applications. In addition, all the SSC Tips for the SP200 Systems have been upgraded to deliver additional power to demanding solder joints, without the need to increase emperature.

  Compact Production Soldering System  Designed to be the perfect, compact system for repetitive manual soldering and touch-up. The PS-800 Soldering System features an innovative, compact power supply with a small footprint which is ideal for production environments. The system combines the power and superior process control advantages of SmartHeat®, with the system quality and innovative design of OK International irons. In addition, the PS-800 Soldering System utilizing SmartHeat Technology requires no calibration.

• Minimal Cost of Ownership The PS-800 Soldering System uses replaceable heater tips rather than cartridges, with the cost being comparable to that of conventional tips, making cost of ownership competitive. The unique two-piece design separates the induction coil from the heater tip. The long-life induction coil remains in the handle, while replaceable heater tips are easily removed and replaced. OK international has developed a comprehensive line of soldering tip geometries for the PS-800 Soldering System. Plus, enhancements to SmartHeat® technology have allowed for an increase to the plating thickness of the tips. The result is extended tip life without reducing thermal performance.

• Perfect For Lead-Free Hand Soldering The most important technical challenge of lead-free hand soldering is being able to solder heat sensitive components at 215-220°C, without causing damage. This requires a soldering iron that can respond to the thermal energy demands of the application and deliver the correct amount of energy to the joint without overshoot that can cause damage.   Smart Design Makes it Perfect for Lead-free OK International's PS-800E Soldering System is a compact system for repetitive manual soldering and touch-up. What sets this system apart from the current PS-800 is a new coil assembly and tip range that offers a larger conductive area than before. The larger area allows for more efficient transfer of thermal energy directly to the tip, optimizing the conduction of the thermal energy through the tip geometries design, making it an ideal solution for lead-free. The PS-800E is designed to be used with SmartHeat® PowerTips™ Heater Tips and the PS-CA2 Coil Assembly. Together, they allow operators to produce high quality product quickly, easily and safely. The PS-CA2 Coil Assembly can also be used with the PS-800 Soldering System.

• A Tip Range for Today's Thermally Demanding Applications OK International has developed a comprehensive line of large diameter, high power soldering tip geometries for the PS-800E. The result is extended tip life without reducing thermal performance. The PS-800E has improved performance by enhancing the thermal transfer characteristics of our tips designs to deliver a significant increase in thermal performance without resorting to the conventional approach of increasing tip idle temperatures. This addresses the high thermal demands of lead-free alloys and other high thermal demand applications. OKi has also extended its current SmartHeat® PowerTips™ range to include 9 new "Easy Access" geometries. These 9 new geometries are specifically designed to be a perfect solution where precision and visibility are required, without compromising performance.

• Auto-sleep Work stand Included with the new high performance solder system is an Auto-sleep Work stand, which helps increase tip life by allowing the tip cartridge to idle at a lower temperature, thereby reducing oxidation. In an average hand soldering application, a soldering iron can spend 50% of its time fully powered, but not in use. This stand automatically reduces the power available to the tip, and thereby the tip temperature, while the iron is placed in the stand. By reducing the tip temperature, while the tip is not in use, the Auto-sleep Work stand will help lengthen the tip life.
